Additional Activities:
Here are some addition and subtraction stories. Use the language of 'first', 'then' and 'now' to help you. E.g. 'First there are 2 people on the bus, then 2 more get on, now there are 4.' You can challenge yourself and make your own number stories at the end too!
You can also use objects to help you add and subtract. Below is a blank ten frame you can use to help add and subtract numbers as shown in the White Rose videos. You could draw dots on the frame or use cubes / counters instead.
