RE
We are learning about how and why Christians celebrate Easter.
Today we are thinking about Palm Sunday. Read through the Palm Sunday Powerpoint below, why did the people celebrate Jesus coming to Jerusalem? (he was famous for performing miracles, being kind and understanding and lots of people believed he was the son of God.) What did the people do to show that they were excited that Jesus was visiting? (laid down their coats and palm leaves to make a welcome mat.)
Follow the activity below to make your own hand palm leaves, if you don't have any green paper you can colour your hand shapes green. you can also stick your handprints onto a toilet roll holder instead of lolly sticks.
Why is Palm Sunday called Palm Sunday? (because it is the day that Jesus visited Jerusalem and people made a welcome mat of palm leaves.)
Daily Mile
It is now time to get some fresh air. You can complete the daily mile just like we do at school. How long can you run for?
