Daily Mile

Please note that there is no live story today.

English

Today we are continuing our learning to use capital letters and full stops. The learning videos and activities are on BBC Bitesize and the link is at the bottom of the page. There is also a worksheet at the bottom of this page, but do not worry if you don't have access to a printer because there are plenty of activities to do on the Bitesize website.

Live Phonics Lesson - 10:00

The link to the live phonics lesson has been sent via email. If you are unable to attend the live session, the PowerPoint will be available at the bottom of this page.

Maths

We are continuing our learning about subtraction, but today we are focusing on counting back when crossing 10. At the bottom of this page, there is a link to the learning video and worksheet.

Circle Time

Circle time is a nice opportunity for children to see and speak with their peers. The teachers are looking forward to celebrating the children's hard work. Class teachers have sent emails stating the time of their circle time. The Microsoft Teams link is available in the email.

Wellbeing

Today we are learning about being happy and safe. At the bottom of this page, there is a link to BBC Supermovers where there is a video all being being happy and safe. When you have watched the video, you can choose from the following tasks:

  • Puppet Making: You could make paper puppets of people in your life who help to keep you safe. The figures might include a nurse, a park ranger, lollipop person, dinner lady or member of your family. I am sure you will be able to think of lots of other people who keep you safe.
  • Safe Places: With an adult, you could explore a nearby park and draw any features you can spot that have been put there to keep people safe. These might include railings and barriers, road markings, street signs, street lamps and soft landing areas under climbing frames.

Daily Mile

It is now time to get some fresh air. You can complete the daily mile just like we do at school. How long can you run for?
