Dear Parent / Carer
We would like to advise you that should a child make any disclosure to our trained staff, we would always seek to investigate and resolve this as a matter of urgency. It may be that advice may need to be sought from the Nottinghamshire County Council's Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). We hope that this would only be necessary on very rare occasions. However, this would always be in the best interest of the child, under our duty of care and in line with our safeguarding guidelines. For more information please refer to our Child Protection/Safeguarding Policy below.
We understand that many families are very anxious about the involvement of other agencies. Please let me reassure you that all professionals and agencies want to help you and keep your family together successfully and safely.
Also, please be assured that the school will always deal with any child protection issue as a matter of the utmost priority. We also hope that any parents or carers with child protection concerns would feel able to contact the school to seek advice from our designated safeguarding leads.
If you have a concern about the safety or welfare of a child, please ask to speak to a member of Standhill staff who deals with Safeguarding (below) either in person or on the telephone: 01158 476787. Safeguarding is sometimes called Child Protection. All staff at Standhill receive Safeguarding / Child Protection Training.
