RE

We are learning about how and why Christians celebrate Easter.

Today we are thinking about Palm Sunday. Read through the Palm Sunday Powerpoint below, why did the people celebrate Jesus coming to Jerusalem? (He was famous for performing miracles and being kind and understanding to others, lots of people believed he was the son of God) What did the people do to show they were excited Jesus was visiting? (laid down their coats and palm leaves to make a welcome mat).

Follow the activity below to make your own hand palm leaves, if you don't have green paper you can colour your hand shapes green instead, you can also use a toilet roll holder instead of the lolly stick.

Why is Palm Sunday called Palm Sunday? (because this is the day that Jesus visited Jerusalem and people made him a welcome mat of palm leaves.)

Daily Mile

It is now time to get some fresh air. You can complete the daily mile just like we do at school. How long can you run for?
