HEADS UP: THURSDAY IS WORLD BOOK DAY AND A CHANCE TO DRESS UP AS A STORY CHARACTER.

Monday

This week we are really getting into the story. Watch the wonderful Michael Rosen (the author) perform his story. Watch it again and see how much you can join in with.

There is also a ppt of the story for you to enjoy.

Tuesday

Remember as much as you can of the story. You can watch the Michael Rosen clip again or read the book. Talk about it with your grown up.

Now have a go at creating your own story map. We have included some visual aids to help you .

Wednesday

Today we would like you to use your story map to help you tell the story to a grown up. Don't forget the actions!

Now see if you can use your phonic skills to add some labels to your story map. If you are up for a challenge you could try writing some simple sentences. Go for it.

Thursday

Today is WORLD BOOK DAY ! We love reading and sharing stories so let's really enjoy that today.

Dress up as your favourite story character and don't for get to send in a photo. We can't wait to see them!

Look at your books and see if you can decide on your 'Top Ten'.

Enter our competition to design the best book cover. Email in your work to see if you can win the prize of a new book.

Try some of the activities below.

FRIDAY

Very soon we will all be back together in school. WOO HOO! Spend some time thinking about this and talking to your grown ups. Perhaps you could make a list of what you need to remember or note down something you are really excited to share with your friends. Maybe you could make a card to say a HUGE "Thankyou" to your grown ups for helping you with your learning at home.

Have a really lovely day and we can't wait to see you in school on Mondayheart
