Friday 27th March

Let's get rhyming!

Today we would like you to practise rhyming- learning nursery rhymes, matching rhyming words and continuing rhyming strings!

Have you got any books at home which contain rhyming words? It would be lovely if you could share these with an adult at home.

I wonder how many of these nursery rhymes you know- can you identify all of the rhyming words?

Here are some fun rhyming activities for you to complete.

Challenge:

Can you make up your own nursery rhyme?

Why not innovate one you already know?

e.g. Humpty Dumpty sat on the floor

Humpty Dumpty bumped into the door...

All the king's horses and all the king's men

Worked together to put Humpty together again!

Please click  on the link below to listen to the poem 'The Time we Spring Cleaned the World' By Louise Gribbons.

A lovely poem with lots of rhyme and a great way to explain the current situation to young children.
